you won't prayif they don't stick a camerain your face you won't pray dull and hopeless without the flicker on your cornea you reflect only yourself and fear. seeing anything, and dislocating the down town smiles and cigarettes the passing smoke of afternoons and movement more or less into a horror or a step into a blessing or a curse dexter and penelope who somehow bear in stripes and holes the hollow soul of a blistered world that simmers oh and an argument or worse that plays back static in tape players' cars and stereo houses watched by photographs of martyrs with gleaming halos |
