The Campaign for Illustration is a little-known, somewhat dubious venture of the Society for Creative Redesign of Existing Animals and Machines (also known as s.c.r.e.a.m.) The (stated) goal is to completely repaint the world. Obviously, there is no way to do this on a canvas of any size less than the earth. Consequently, members of this movement are being forced to use the only existing canvas of sufficient size (barring, of course, the possibility of traveling to another planet and painting Earth there; but this (the development of space travel) would in turn raise the issue of whether the planet being used for the canvas shouldn’t itself be included in the painting since it had irretrievably become part of the experience of Earth-creatures), and thus all the painting is being done on existing objects. It can be difficult to spot their work since they have a strict requirement for realism.
