- About Me
- I was born in a beauty salon; Je suis le prince d’Aquitaine. I make music with my boots on other people’s floors. I write like a fox. I take pictures of buildings in ruins, at night. I love what time reveals as it draws things into decay. I’m entranced by movement, by dynamics, by the patterns human forms create amidst the chaos of light and color. I’m a terrible companion at museums: I’ll stare at one painting for an hour. I poke around in brains for a living, but in secret I make alchemical drawings of the soul. I wear my heart on my sleeve; it gets me in trouble. Once, in a dream, I had to have a marriage annulled by the Catholic Church. I’m not good at leaving poker games, even when I’m losing.
- Who I Want to Meet
- Marlene Dietrich (“Artists are optimistic; they are born so they can be saved by unexpected miracles”) and/or people who want to make a movie with me in Tahoe next winter and/or Naples next spring. Yes, I know Marlene is dead. It’s a movie about zombies. Duh.
