I finally, finally got rid of my old phone and set myself up with a cute little number from T-Mobile (below left). There was a deal on a wireless headset (right), which has turned out to be, I am not kidding, the best freaking piece of technology I have ever owned. I can walk around, pick up my room, type, or do pretty much anything I want while on the phone, and at the end of a conversation I don’t have a crick in my neck or a cramp in my arm.

I’m really kind of a Luddite at heart, and I don’t wax ebullient about technology, so this is a serious recommendation. I’m not going to say it would have saved my last long-distance relationship, but it sure would have made things easier.
