apesar de todo existe uma fonte de água pura
quem beber daquela água não terá mais amargura.

 (Paulinho da Viola)

I suppose it is not surprising that when you are happy the whole world seems to conspire with your happiness, any more than it should be strange that the world can just as easily conspire with misery: the world, after all, is far too much like a dream to suppose that your feelings can have no effect on its structure. But what is truly strange is that the feeling of happiness never feels like it is quite enough–that something else is demanded of you, justification, explanations, thanks–while misery seems more than enough.
