the number of things that can keep humans interested is probably infinite in number, and if it interests more than three people there will be a magazine. For instance, Birding:

I used to have back copies of this for some reason. Found them in an old box at a garage sale. This morning walking into work (or was it yesterday) saw four people with binoculars and overheard them talking birds. The idea of birding being to see or at least hear rare birds all over the world.

How do you build a reasonable philosophy when there is someone whose most meaningful experience was hearing a Gray Heron in the distances of South Africa? These people are gods or at least aliens, and can there be any commerce between them and those who think only of money and those who search the world for a rose?
